Where to Register
Family Resource Centers
Families with a child new to the Boston Public Schools can register at one of several Family Resource Centers (FRC). Feel free to visit whichever center is most convenient; you are not limited to the center in your zone of residence.

Hours of Operation
School Year (including December and April recess)
- Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
All centers will close early (open 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) on the following dates:
- June 2, 2010
Summer: June 28 - July 30, 2010
- Only the West Zone FRC is open during the summer months in 2010, daily from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- East and North Zone FRCs will resume the school year schedule on Monday, August 2, 2010.
Peak Period: January 3 - March 25, 2011 (including February recess)
- Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday registration! The East Zone FRC (1216 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester) will be open January 22 and 29, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Family Resource Centers are closed on federal, state and city holidays.
Satellite Registration Center
The satellite registration center at the Jackson/Mann School is no longer in operation.
